WASHINGTON – Rep. Lisa McClain (R-Mich.) released the following statement on the U.S. House of Representatives passing the Fix Our Forests Act:
“Our prayers continue to be with the victims of the devastating California fires. House Republicans decided to take action and pass this critical piece of legislation again. Thank you to Chairman Bruce Westerman for spearheading this solution that will save lives, homes, and businesses nationwide,” McClain said.
Last year, the House passed the Fix Our Forests Act with overwhelming bipartisan support. However, it died in the Democrat-controlled Senate.
