WASHINGTON—Rep. Lisa McClain (R-Mich.) released the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives voted on the next step of the budget reconciliation process – instructing our committees to begin drafting the one big, beautiful bill:
“The President was clear: we need to move forward with our agenda. We will start drafting our bill that delivers historic savings while protecting essential programs,” McClain said. “House Republicans promised the American people that we would prevent the largest tax hike in history, unleash America’s energy production, secure the border, and get our economy back on track. Today, we are continuing to keep that promise.”
