WASHINGTON – Rep. Lisa McClain (R-Mich.) released the following statement today after being sworn into the 119th Congress:
“I am honored the people of Michigan’s Ninth Congressional District have once again placed their trust in me to represent them in Congress. Our majority is ready to deliver on our promise to secure the border, bring down rising prices, restore American energy independence, and rein in government overreach. My constituents and millions of Americans asked for change, and I look forward to working with my colleagues and President Trump to get our country back on track.”
McClain represents Michigan’s Ninth Congressional District and was elected by her colleagues to serve as Chairwoman of the House Republican Conference for the 119th Congress. As Chairwoman, McClain is the fourth most senior Republican in the House and is also now the highest-ranking woman in Congress.
