WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, Congresswoman Lisa McClain (R-MI) issued a statement following the House Armed Services Committee markup of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). In the markup process, Congresswoman McClain submitted various amendments and changes to report language that were included in the NDAA that passed through committee, securing crucial wins for Michigan's 9th District, our military, and the security of the United States.

“Ensuring our country has a strong national defense continues to be a top priority of mine in Congress” said Rep. McClain. “It is vital that our military is given the proper tools it needs to protect the United States, and each year I have fought to provide that through the NDAA. I am proud to see so many of my amendments and report language changes pass through the markup process, and I look forward to it being passed into law. I will never stop fighting for our military and for the security of our great nation.”

“Rep. Lisa McClain has worked tirelessly to put our national security first,” Chairman Mike Rogers (R-AL) said. “I thank Rep. McClain for her leadership on the House Armed Services Committee and for her work on the FY24 NDAA.”
