WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, Congresswoman Lisa McClain (R-MI) was selected to serve as the Chair of the Oversight and Accountability Committee’s Subcommittee on Health Care and Financial Services for the 118th Congress.
“I am honored to serve as the new Chair of the Subcommittee on Health Care and Financial Services, and I want to thank Chairman Comer for selecting me for this role,” said Rep. McClain. “As we begin a new era of Congressional oversight, it is crucial that we leave no stone unturned and ensure accountability in the federal government. As Subcommittee Chair, I will root out every ounce of waste, fraud and abuse in our health care and financial services systems. We have a lot of work ahead of us, but I am ready to use this gavel to bring the truth to light.”
“Under Chairwoman Lisa McClain’s leadership on the Subcommittee on Health Care and Financial Services, Republicans will use every tool at our disposal to get answers for American taxpayers and patients, hold health care providers and drug manufacturers accountable, and root out waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement in government programs,”said House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.)
