WASHINGTON, D.C.- Today, Congresswoman Lisa McClain (R-MI) hosted a press conference following the conclusion of the House Oversight Subcommittee on Healthcare and Financial Services hearing on the “Importance of Protecting Female Athletics and Title IX.” This hearing brought forth two high-profile witnesses in the fight to protect women's sports to testify on the dangers and the breakdown of competition that comes with allowing biological males to compete in women's athletics.

“This is about protecting our daughters and their ability to compete,” said Rep. Lisa McClain. “President Biden will do anything to appease the radicals in his party rather than defend the success of women's athletics and Title IX. Our daughters deserve better, and we owe it to them to fight for the sanctity of women’s sports.”

This year, Title IX celebrates 51 years since being signed into law, and women’s sports are under more heat than we've seen in a half-century. Title IX was meant to give women fair ground for competition, where they could succeed and showcase their skills amongst themselves. Biological men have no space in women’s sports, and House Republicans are committed to standing up for our daughters, female athletes, and Title IX.
