WASHINGTON, D.C.- Congresswoman Lisa McClain (R-MI) sent a letter to the IRS demanding answers about the widespread delays in sending Americans’ their tax returns.

“It’s high time the IRS gets back to work” said Rep. McClain. “There is no excuse for the delay in getting refunds back to American taxpayers. Many people rely on their refund to make ends meet, and it is unacceptable that they are indefinitely delayed in receiving it. I am calling on Commissioner Rettig to immediately address this issue and ensure the IRS does its job for the sake of taxpayers across the country”.
