WASHINGTON – Rep. Lisa McClain (R-Mich.) was recognized today as a 2024 “Guardian of Small Business” by the National Federation of Independent Business for her small business advocacy at the federal level. Award eligibility is determined by voting record, bill sponsorship, and support on behalf of small businesses.

“I am proud to receive this honor as I continue to fight for our small businesses in Washington,” said McClain. “Small businesses are innovators, trailblazers, and even contribute to our national defense. I will continue to be a champion for our business community and fight for policy solutions and regulatory reform that fosters entrepreneurship and gets the government out of their way.”

In Michigan, over 908,000 small businesses make up 99 percent of all businesses and employ 1.9 million Michiganders.
