Congresswoman McClain Secures Vital Funding for Michigan Transportation Projects

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Lisa McClain (R-MI) announced that she secured funding for eight vital transportation projects in Michigan’s 10th Congressional District in the INVEST in America Act.

“Michigan’s roads and bridges are in dire need of repair and I’m glad the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure see several of my funding requests as critical priorities for Michiganders,” said Rep. McClain. “I look forward to these projects being included in the final appropriations bill.”

The following projects were included in the bill:

Project Name: 21 Mile Road Bridge over Gloede Drain Replacement

Project Location: Macomb Township, MI

Project Sponsor: Macomb Township

Funding: $1,616,800

 

Project Name: Genesee Street Bridge over Farmers Creek Replacement

Project Location: Lapeer, MI

Project Sponsor: City of Lapeer

Funding: $1,896,750

 

Project Name: Haist Road Bridge over Pigeon River Maintenance

Project Location: Winsor Township, MI

Project Sponsor: Huron County Road Commission

Funding: $194,400

 

Project Name: King Road Bridge over the Belle River Replacement

Project Location: China Township, MI

Project Sponsor: St. Clair County

Funding: $2,299,800

 

Project Name: Kuhl Road Bridge over Shebeon Drain Replacement

Project Location: Fairhaven Township, MI

Project Sponsor: Huron County Road Commission

Funding: $1,282,400

 

Project Name: M-46 and M-19 Reconstruction

Project Location: Sanilac County, MI

Project Sponsor: Michigan Department of Transportation

Funding: $10,073,042

 

Project Name: Marlette Road Bridge over South Branch of the Cass River Replacement

Project Location: Sanilac County, MI

Project Sponsor: Sanilac County Road Commission

Funding: $1,406,000

 

Project Name: Mound Road/Detroit Arsenal Connector Project

Project Location: Macomb County, MI

Project Sponsor: Macomb County Department of Roads

Funding: $11,000,000

The INVEST in America Act passed out of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Committee today with a vote of 38 - 26.
