Oversight Hearing on Inflation

Image

Yesterday, I took the gavel and led my Oversight subcommittee in a hearing examining how the Biden Administration’s reckless spending has driven inflation to 40-year highs.

During the pandemic, President Trump’s response created the fastest economic recovery in history. But, instead of allowing these policies to play out, the Biden Administration pushed through their American Rescue Plan despite warnings from Republicans and even Democrat economists that the bill would cause inflation.

Now, we have seen the American Rescue Plan play out. Inflation rose to a 40-year high, the price of groceries went through the roof, Americans couldn’t afford gas, and retirement accounts were demolished.

The Democrats responded to this crisis with even more spending in a bill wrongfully called the Inflation Reduction Act.

Rest assured, we are holding the Biden Administration accountable for the economic disaster they have caused.

Biden's Budget Reveal

Image

On Thursday, President Biden FINALLY released his budget proposal. To no surprise, his budget expanded federal spending at the taxpayer's expense. The Biden Administration also put on full display how out of touch Democrats really are. The Department of Homeland Security, which is responsible for securing our border, got a significant cut in funding. At the same time, the Environmental Protection Agency got the highest increase of any agency in the budget to push Biden’s Green New Deal Agenda. And how does he plan to pay for it? By creating more taxes.

America has a spending problem, and rather than creating a budget, that will get inflation under control, Biden proposes that we spend even more

Parent's Bill of Rights

Image

I’m a mother of four children, and I know that one of the biggest things parents want is to be involved in their child’s education. But the Biden Administration labels concerned parents as domestic terrorists. Unlike Democrats, House Republicans know that parents aren’t domestic terrorists and that parents have a right to make decisions regarding their child’s education.

That is why we are pushing for the Parents Bill of Rights to give the power back to every mom and dad in America. The Parent's Bill of Rights states:

  1. Parents have the right to know what their children are being taught in schools.
  2. Parents have the right to be heard.
  3. Parents have the right to see the school budget and spending.
  4. Parents have the right to protect their children’s privacy.
  5. Parents have the right to keep their children safe.

As a member of the House Education and Workforce Committee, I am proud to stand up for parents and oppose any attempts to take these rights away.
